December Meeting Recap

Can it be? Did we really just have our December meeting? It sure got me in the Christmas crafting spirit! Kristin Self shared some great Pinterest gift and craft ideas. Easy to make, beautiful to give.

Cheryl also spoke on Christmas traditions and as a group we all shared some of our favorites. Here are a few fun traditions from the group:
-Collect Christmas books thru out the year, and wrap up 24 Christmas book, and unwrap one each day of December
-Make cupcakes/birthday cake for Jesus and light candle on Christmas morning
-Wear PJs all Christmas day
-Leave cookies and milk out for Santa--don't forget to take a bite! And drain the milk! Kiddos remember ;-)
-Spread gift opening thru-out Christmas day... open just one gift at a time, take a break to do other things and come back to open another gift.

Before we dug into Kristin's fun craft, Cheryl also left us with some encouraging words and a question to ponder... "Do your traditions trump Jesus?" If any one of your traditions had to stop, what would your reaction be? Truly, a good thing to rest on as we head into some busy weeks before Christmas.
